Acoustic Challenges in Quires and Places Where They Sing

Tuesday 2nd July 2013

Really enoyed presenting at this one day conference organised by the Institute of Acoustics. which examined the interaction between music, acoustics and architecture with an emphasis on traditional choir venues, such as churches, cathedrals and auditoria. Quire is an alternative Anglican spelling for choir and is also the name given to the place in many cathedrals (eg Durham, St Albans, Westminster Abbey) where the choir sings.
